Chanel!!!!!

Chanel's ready-to-wear spring 2010 collection is to die for, literally, I am in love with it! The models had straw stuck in their hair, a little swagger and smirk to give off a sort of secret look about them. The whole feel was very haystacky and pure as the catwalk was on the normal ground of farm.

The collection itself was very beige, ivory and black, bringing the lace back into the 2010 year and using different textures to produce a girly fashion feel to the clothes. It is very classic but high fashion at the same time, which I personally adore. Karl Lagerfeld (the head designer of the fashion house) is 76 years old yet still designing these free flowing outfits.

Bad Romance 2010

Lady Gaga is always being discussed, fashion wise because her look is straight from the runway and very outrageous! In her Bad Romance video she wore a pair of Alexander McQueen's shoes from his Spring 2010 catwalk. I love his designs, they are so different and never normal. Never the same as anybody else out there.

I have a major obsession with shoes and McQueen is definately one of my favourites!!

Obviously these need to be worn in a particualr way, and most probably would not suit them. Out of the six I have posted, my favourites have to be the brown boots with metal heels! They are just so different and I hope that the celebrities who can afford to buy these wear them in a way that eliminates them from the "what were you thinking" pages because these shoes do not deserve that!!! (:

New Years

New years eve is looming and trying to find something to wear is always a master task! I can never find anything I want to wear even though I love so many things!! Depending on what your style is and what you are actually doing on the eve will affect the clothes you wear.

For the rock chic look:

This Balmain skirt is essential for a rock chic but comes with a price that just is way too big for any normal person. £3,150 (down from £4,500).

I have found this skirt from Forever21 which would give off the same style without the giant price tag.

It is only $17.80 and paired with a fierce blazer and heeled booties would look pretty good!

This Camilla and Marc dress is so versitile and put together with the right jewellery will deffinately be one of the perfect dresses for new years (or any occassion really). Personally I would add black shoes and some giant jewellery but it depends on individual style. This dress is only £485 (found at net-a-porter) but that is still expensive so I have been able to find a very similar dress a lot cheaper!





This origami dress is from asos and is only £35.00!!!!!
This dress also comes in other colours - black and navy. I love the vintage rose colour more than the others as it is not really seen as much.



Ahead of trend look:








We've seen military and tribal looks become very much into fashion in the last year or so, but for spring 2010 the theme is evolving into "future warrior". This dress by Versus shows the characteristics from warriors but also so wearable right now! I am yet to find the price of this gorgeous dress but no doubt will be a four digit number!





There was hardly any warrior dresses in shops at the moment, mainly because they will come into fashion in the spring, but this dress is from Miss Selfridge and is only £40 in the sale (from £90). I think it would work well when paried with smokey eyes and very natural hair - not straightened or anything, just left from wash.

Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta's new pre-fall 2010 collection is so amazing! I just love everything about it, the dresses, skirts, jackets, just everything. They are so feminine and very wearable but still keeping that high fashion characteristic about them.

The photo of the pink fur coat has been so cleverly designed that the whole outfit, with the smokey eyes and scarf is to die for.

No doubt we will see these pieces on the rich and famous soon. Very jealous!!
