Sunday Times

I can't believe the weekend is over already! I have started making a list of all the things I want, just making myself sadder 'cause I do not have enough money for it all. I did get a free hoody today though, I helped a friend hold his first running race; it was freeeeezing. And to look professional we were all given black RiotRunner hoody's (:
I was recently just searching around on the internet, just looking for small shops that did vintage clothes. And I came across The Electric Gypsy, a vintage online shop with clothes from all of the different decades. Some of the clothes were too old, whereas others had that charactersitic of the older decades but had a sort of modern twist.

What do you think of the dresses and tops?

Check out the store... http://www.theelectricgypsy.com/

P.S. I am totally excited about the grammy's tonight (well tomorrow morning 'cause of the time difference).....hope to see some amazing dresses!!

Au Revoir

Valentino

Jean Paul Gautier

This collection is very modern and follows the extreme trends created for 2010. The top photo is very warrior themed which is one of the trends. Jean Paul Gautier themed most of his outfits around South America and as you can see from the hats, Mexico (: I'm not too keen on these outfits, but I do love the little black whispie dress in the middle.

What do you think of the outfits? What do you think about the fashion week as a whole?

Bonjour

Don't you just love Paris Couture (:
Givenchy

Givenchy brought out some couture gowns and outfits, which incoporated some of the previous decades. The top two outfits look very Abba-ish, which isn't bad at all but not really something I find wearable. The lampshade hats and tiered dresses were lovely and definately had the modern couture gown box ticked. I don't think the make-up the models were wearing suited the clothes, I found it a bit scary, especially on the third photo down. The dress is so pretty but the models make up puts me off ever thinking about buying it (not that I have the money).

Elie Saab

Ohhhhh, Elie Saab is amazing. I am just completely in love with these dresses. Granted, I only think they can be worn on a red carpet occasion but aren't they so pretty? They are very feminine and textured. I dislike it when they have small shoulder straps, it looks like the type of dress a 12 year old to their prom. Eeeeek. But the slits at the waist and diamond dessings are pretty spectacular.

Chanel
I have alwaysed loved Chanels collection, whatever they bring out it is wearable and pretty. But to be honest, have we not these outfits before? I know that they are slightly different and it is good to have a signature stlye but I just think that they could have been a lot more creative then these looks.

What do you think about the looks so far? Agree with what I think?

White Jeans

I wasn't really too sure what this post could be about, I generally think of soemthing throughout the day but this time nothing really came to me. I was at home again today, but did go to a meeting with the teachers at a lower school that I am going to for college placement which was pretty fun. When I was there I realised that all of the children's clothes around is so much nicer (: If only they made it in adult sizesss.
I can never find a nice pair of white jeans without thinking they look totally chavvy. I know that the celebs wear them but I see people around town in them and they are just awful.

A few white jeans don'ts...
1. Never wear white jeans with white shoes, especially sitlettos.
2. White jeans can be made fashionable but you have to think logically as it is not as simple as blue or black jeans. So don't pair with a puffa jacket or white top!
3. Think about underwear. You do not want people to see what colour underwear you are wearing, it is very trashy.
4. Avoid wearing white jeans in rainy weather, it will most likely go see through (: nicht gut

White jeans do's...
1. Wear them in the summer. It is less likely to rain (:
2. Pair them cute colourful wedges or flip flops, depends on what you are doing
3. Wear plaid or summery print top, or add a large necklace
4. Ripped white jeans are better than non-ripped if done classy but worse than non-ripped if done trashhhhy, beware!

Do you have white jeans, how do you wear them? Any outfit suggestions for white jeans?

Paris (:

So Paris Couture Week is back, and I am soooooo excited! Couture is my favourite part of the fashion area, the elaborate outfits and massive ideas are so important. Some of the desginers whose collections were modelled today are pictured below.
John Galliano
John Galliano has created this collection for Christian Dior. It is largely themed around equestrian, with it's boots and top hats. He himself, was dressed in the theme, as you can see from the picture above where he is posing with some of the models of his colleciton.

Anne Valerie Hash

Within this collection, Anne Valerie Hash has been really creative, using unusual pieces to create the looks. An example of this, is the ballet pump being used as a glove in the picture above.
Alexis Mabille

All of these outfits are from Alexis Mabille's collection. They are all very bold, in particular the two coloured dresses with the split right down the middle. The only thing that I really dislike about these outfits is the hair!!! I do not like the hair being two colours, especially in a middle parting.
I do love the black dress with the bold detailed yellow neckline. It has that simple effect about it with the plain black body section but brings that couture fashion with the neck.

In other news...

Throughout the all of yesterday and all of today, I have watched all of the Glee episodes in season 1 annnnnnnnnnd bought most of the songs, which are now on repeat on my ipod. Slighty obsessed!
This time, I love Quinns clothes, the oufits and hair. She is generally a pretty person, jeal as. But her outfits are so girly and cutesy that I have been searching for them. (:

It has taken me sooo long to post with post because I keep getting distracted by youtube and the Glee videos.
Anyway, what did you think of the beginning of Paris Couture Week? Any designers or designs stand out?
