Half term week has been hectic. Lack of blogging comes as a result, but now everything is back. School, routine...and snow! Thought we would be rid of it by now, I've been way too hopeful for spring and trying to make it appropriate to get rid of the wellies, obviously not.

Thankfully London Fashion Week has begun. Lovely stuff. I've been going through the last 3 days worth of designers and trying to find the trends that we could see for Autumn and Winter 2010. The most obvious one would be the colour. Black was seen everywhere. Richard Nicoll, Betty Jackson, Clements Ribeiro, Jasper Conran, Meadham Kirchhoff, and loads others were supporting the darkness.

This collection is sooo cute. I just love it. It's a bit rock 'n' roll but very feminine at the same time. I have never been one to suit the rock chic look as much as I try, but with these outfits I think I could. Although, anybody wearing these clothes would not have to pull off that look. The main thing to show they are a bit rocky is the black eye make up, which of course is to the opinion of the dresser.
Love these clothes!!!!!

I love this collection, as you can see the balck was incoporated into it. I just love the belts. I love it when they are tied into a knot. It looks so much better and it seems that the designer agreed.

Jasper Conran
I was excited to see what Jasper Conran would bring out, but a bit dissappointed. There were some nice outfits but nothing that jumped out to me or stood out as spectactular.

These were three that I liked the most. His designs were different but they were not for me.

What do you think about Jasper Conran's designs???
What do you think about the beginning of London Fashion Week?

Life.

I haven''t posted much in the last couple of days mostly because I was a bit confused and lost as to what I wanted ot post. It's like this girl in class, who is the teachers pet and gets special attention to complete her work. And last year I always tried to mirror what she did to become better in my work and get the best from me. But I realised that I didn't need to copy her because I wasn't her. When I realised that the only person I have to beat is myself, I started to become better.
Regarding this blog, I was looking around at the others that I have been wathcing for a while and tried to work out where this one would fall. But again, I do not need to be like the other blogs out there and I just need to improve by beating myself.
Anyway, in other giant news, I woke up this morning so excited about New York Fashion Week, even though I am on a different contintent.
This excitement was cut short when I was on my way home and the news bulletin said something about Alexander McQueen. I actually missed it, but my friend heard, and knowing I love him said that they said he had died.
It is just the most shocking thing ever! I was just repeating "oh my god" the whole journey back to my house.
It was then confirmed that he had in fact died this morning in his flat in London.
He was such an amzaing designer, with no limitations to his designs and imagination. His 10 inch armidillo heels are the most recent media show, capturing the light for his outrageous risk.
Here's some of his other designs and work of art...

One of my favourite photos...

Round or Point?

When it comes to heels, people usually have a preferred type, rounded toes or pointy. Me personally, I love rounded and just don't seem to get into the pointy heels. I always kinda thought they were slightly chavvy. But that is the stereotype of pointy heels in this town. Victoria Beckham prefers pointy toed heels because they elongate a person's leg, especially if they are beige. They are best to wear with jeans and trousers and never really go out of fashion because they are very classic and simple. But rounded can be worn well with skirts and dresses and are a lot more used to create an 80's look.

Celebrities and the designers wear and produce both types which can start off a new trend in the fashion world.

What do you prefer, pointy or rounded?
